Jim skull – Perle et murano

It is in Koumac in New Caledonia that the adventures of Jim, our skull artist, begin. It is also a gateway for Oceania
and many other horizons. He goes to New Zealand, stops over Vanuatu, discovers Australia, India, and lands in Hong-Kong.
Human experiences, cultural, ritual, he is marked by his travels and encounters.
Back to Paris, we are in 1976. He enters Estienne School, then the Applied Arts School Olivier de Serres.
1980, he creates his first skulls. His vocation is now revealed and will never leave him.
He holds exhibitions in Parisian bars, takes part in the Salons d’Art, improves his technique… creating the refined result we know of today.
Contemporary art, African, Oceanian, Amerindian, popular, religious… multiple passions and a melting-pot of influences

Born in a family environment conducive to graphic arts, the Graduate School of Fine Arts in Toulouse coming validate my vocation after 5 years of study. Attracted by all forms of artistic expression, it is first as a graphic designer I learns the techniques of image creation with a predilection for drawing and generally for anything that does not depend digital Design. The discovery of interactive pen displays however, offers me new horizons and now I do not impose any constraint in terms of pictures conception. Mixing styles and techniques is my way. This portfolio shows my personal artwork.

Her love of animals and their form, combined with a preoccupation with an imminent future where technology and biology are intimately combined, led her to create her ongoing series of modified animals.
By creating beauty within this supposed paradox, she challenges the concept of a world separated into the ‘sacrosanct’ natural and ‘vulgar’ industrial.
